Our design group is capable of handling most vector-based artwork done in both Mac and PC Platforms and are always ready to assist you with your graphic needs.
Labels Xpress Art Department strives to stay up to date with recent technologies in the graphics field to give our clients a wider range of freedom and versatility.
We accept artwork files in the following formats:
Acceptable formats for process printing on rolls:
- EPS
- AI
- PDF (no compression)
Minimum Screen: 3% color (do not fade off to 0%to avoid harsh breakoff).
Bleed: 0.125″ total ( 0.0625 each side)
Minimum Line Width: 0.7 pt for positive & 1 pt for reverse
Minimum Font Size: 6 pt
- Small of fine type reversed out of 4 color process may need a stroke.
- Small or fine type preferred to be in spot color when against white.
- Combination of fine screens and heavy solid area of the same color may require an additional spot color to achieve the intended density.
- Barcode width reduction (BWR) 0.0015
Acceptable formats for digital (short run) printing:
- EPS
- AI
- JPG
- PSD
- TIFF
Unsupported Formats:
- Microsoft Office
It is important to be sure all fonts are converted to paths, curves or outlines before submitting your artwork. All colors are to be clearly marked to identify items to be printed with PMS color numbers.
Artwork Proofs: Whenever possible, black-and-white or color proofs should be submitted with the artwork in order to evaluate the translation of any converted files. When supplying artwork electronically a pdf of your artwork is preferred if possible.
Color Mode:
- CMYK for full color
- GREYSCALE for BW color files
- SPOT for multiple colorsAll colors are to be clearly marked to identify items to be printed with PMS color number or name.
Labels Xpress art department has the capacity to read files presented by email or on USB thumb drives. Your artwork files can be sent to us electronically via E-mail up to a maximum file size of 10MB or uploaded directly using the Upload Artwork Tab. Any files that are compressed must be saved as Self-Extracting Archives when possible. Additionally Labels Xpress does have the capacity to decompress most of the industry standard compression formats. Additionally, all pre-press preparations to supplied artwork will be done by Labels Xpress creative department.
